How Pearls Form
1. A grain of sand gets into an oyster's shell and starts to irritate the oyster.
2. The oyster, trying to get rid of the irritation, starts to rloll the sand around, trying to get it out of its shell.
3. When the oyster is rolling this sand arfound it gets covered in what is called "mother of pearl".
4. Mother of Pearl is what gives a pearl its glossy sheen.
5. After a very long time a pearl will form.
